"Our project was converting the garage to a playroom and then building a new attached garage in front of that. Jim was great to work with! His team and subcontractors were clean, friendly and made themselves as invisible as possible. The work was highly professional, and in the rare instance that something didn't look right, Jim proactively brought it to our attention and had the issue remedied quickly. Jim followed the architect's/ engineer's plans as expected and even was able to improve upon issues where there were minor oversights from the architect.Where there were aesthetic decisions to be made (including many we hadn't even thought of or considered) he always consulted with us first and gave us a range of options with the cost implications. Aside from a few very minor unforeseen issues, the whole project was completed in line with the proposed budget. Multiple neighbors were also very impressed with the work and kept stopping by to tell us so. The addition looks seamless both inside and out. We're extremely happy with it.

"Working with Jim Moench was a pleasure and an honor. He's an excellent craftsman with a calm, flexible, we’ll-figure-it-out response to the problems and questions that inevitably pop up on a major job. Our project was the major remodel of the kitchen in our 1969 Eichler in Walnut Creek. Using the concepts we’d developed with our designer Jenny Meyer, who has now worked with Jim a number of times, he swept in and completed the whole job in just 7 weeks, with little downtime and no significant postponements of work. On the way to that completion, he managed to get a basic kitchen—sink and countertops—installed within three weeks so that we could at least wash our dishes and stage our meals there. Jim saw to every detail and handled the diciest stuff himself, such as the installation of a heavy glass countertop. This isn’t to say his sub-contractors aren’t excellent. They are, to the last man. Our kitchen is now beautiful, bright, and inviting. In the process, Jim became more than just our contractor. He’s also a friend."
